On August 9, 2026, Bilal, Ed Sarmiento , and Lourdes Gepolan took on one of the toughest endurance challenges in the Philippines — IRONMAN 70.3 Lapu-Lapu Cebu.
The race brought challenging conditions, especially in the swim, with strong currents and choppy waters testing athletes from the very beginning. But as every triathlete knows, sometimes the greatest victory is simply having the courage to show up and face whatever the course throws at you.
Bilal, Ed, and Lou, represented 3F Striders with courage, determination, and heart. Whether the day went exactly as planned or brought unexpected challenges, the training, sacrifice, and bravery it took to stand on that start line are already something to be proud of. Every race teaches us something. Every difficult day makes us stronger. And every challenge becomes part of the journey. Keep moving forward. Keep believing. The next finish line is waiting.
